About the event


This 4-hour continuing education training:

  •  Equips mental health professionals with a deep understanding of first responder culture and the systemic factors that influence their mental health. 

  • Participants will examine common psychological challenges—including PTSD, moral injury, and cumulative trauma—within the broader context of multiple systems such as family, organizational, societal, and cultural dynamics. 

  • The course emphasizes cultural humility, trust-building, and the adaptation of evidence-based therapeutic methods to meet the complex, multi-layered needs of first responder clients.
